Kayak Expedition Trip to Georgia with Two Blades Adventures - 1 week - October 24-31, 2026

 

A trip to Georgia isn't just about kayaking: it's about immersing yourself in an ancient country, rich in mountains, wild rivers, monasteries, historic cities, and some of the world's most surprising cuisine.
The hospitality of the Georgians and their stories will make the experience even more special.

Itinerary

The trip starts at the airport most convenient for the group: Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi .
We will spend the week mainly in West Georgia , the most diverse area for kayaking, with rivers of all levels.

We will do a large loop of about 1,000 km , choosing the best rivers and sections each day based on water levels, conditions and the group's ability.

Difficulty

  • General level: Class III – III+

  • Possible sections II–III up to IV depending on the water levels.

  • Ability to follow lines in Class II–III

Logistics

  • Airport pickup (Tbilisi / Kutaisi / Batumi)

  • A week of itinerant travel among the rivers

  • Return to the same airport

Equipment & Rental

  • Each participant brings their own personal equipment, including kayak .

  • Tents provided on request (only sleeping bag and mattress required).

  • Possibility to rent equipment and kayaks.

Accommodation & Food

  • Mainly local guesthouses

  • Lunches and breakfasts included (sandwiches, snacks, khachapuri)

  • Some dinners in restaurants

  • A few nights camping (you only need a sleeping bag)

Georgian cuisine is among the best in the world: we will try it several times during the trip.

  • Minimum: 4 participants

Climate

In western Georgia temperatures range from +5°C to +30°C .
Spring and autumn can be rainy; summer hot.
