Kajack Masterclass – Valsesia 2026
With Nouria Newman & Jacques Gilardone
Valsesia, Italy | May 2–7, 2026 | Level: III–V | Limited to 10 participants
The Ultimate Whitewater Progression Week
One week before the “Boss of Valsesia” kayak festival, join two of Europe’s most respected river coaches — Jacques Gilardone, Kajack founder and professional whitewater instructor, and Nouria Newman, world champion and one of the strongest kayakers on the planet — to refine your technique, sharpen your mindset and prepare to perform at your best.
Whether your goal is to race at the festival or simply paddle with more confidence, this is not just another course — it’s a masterclass in river reading, precision technique and mental flow, set in one of Europe’s most spectacular whitewater valleys.
Program
Day 1 – Reading the Water
Sesia Classic (Class III)
We begin by connecting as a group: understanding each participant’s goals, aligning expectations, and reviewing key fundamentals of technique and safety.
A full day of warm-up, timing, posture, and clean lines.
Day 2 – Precision & Power
Lower Sermenza (Class III+/IV)
We raise the bar — working on boof timing, paddle placement, and body positioning through drops.
Personalized video analysis at the end of the day.
Day 3 – The Art of Efficiency
Mastallone (Class IV)
A day dedicated to smooth paddling — learning to do more with less.
The goal: minimal strokes, maximum control. Feel the flow instead of fighting it.
Day 4 – Air & Water
Piode–Scopello section + Gronda & Sorba waterfalls
Morning: double run including the 5-meter Piode drop.
Afternoon: masterclass on boofing, body positioning, and landing control on slides and waterfalls.
Adrenaline and precision guaranteed.
Day 5 – Race Mindset & Power
Sermenza Gorge & Alpin Sprint sections
In preparation for the Boss of Valsesia races, we’ll focus on power generation, acceleration, efficient line choices, and mental control under pressure.
Includes video analysis and mindset training.
Day 6 – The Final Challenge
Egua & Sermenzino (Class IV+/V)
The last day is pure progression — exploring the most technical creeks in the valley.
A chance to apply everything learned: line choice, reading, control, and safety.
The perfect conclusion of confidence, control and connection.
